What is the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters?

The Académie des Arts-Sciences-Lettres is dedicated to honoring and promoting women and men who, through their talent, commitment, and work, contribute to the international influence of culture in the artistic, literary, and scientific fields.

Each year, the Academy celebrates excellence during a prestigious ceremony in Paris, where diplomas and medals — Platinum, Gold, Vermeil, Silver, Pewter, and Bronze — are awarded by the Higher Awards Commission.

During this solemn celebration, followed by a gala dinner, French and international personalities also receive the Grand Gold Medals with Plaque of Honor or the Grand Vermeil Medals.

The Role of Mrs. Danièle EL M’RABET, Delegate since 2022

Since 2022, Mrs. Danièle EL M’RABET has been supporting artists from all backgrounds and disciplines with dedication, professionalism, and care in their admission to this illustrious institution. Her delegation is now recognized as the most significant within the Academy, both in terms of the number of artists presented and the diversity and quality of the artistic paths it represents.

Quantitatively, her commitment has resulted in the following achievements:

  • 2022 Session: 49 artists presented (France, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Morocco).
Out of 49 applications, 48 artists were accepted, awarded diplomas, and honored with medals corresponding to the excellence of their careers.
  • 2023 Session: 86 artists supported, primarily painters.
The largest delegation of the Academy for the second consecutive year.
  • 2024 Session: 11 artists, including 2 artists who paint with their mouth.
A strong commitment to transforming perspectives on disability through Art.
  • 2025 Session: 27 artists, including an artist born without arms and legs who paints with his mouth.
A clear intention: to open the artistic stage to all forms of resilience and creation.
  • 2026 Session: 45 artists already registered, including the first female artist who paints with her foot.
The objective remains clear: to unite able-bodied artists and artists with disabilities around a shared light — that of artistic expression.
